Heat stroke is a medical emergency requiring immediate action: move the person to a cool place, immerse them in cool water if possible, and seek emergency medical help. Preventing heat illness involves staying hydrated, avoiding strenuous activities during peak heat, wearing lightweight and breathable clothing, and taking frequent breaks in the shade or air-conditioned environments.
